Last weekend was insane for me, I think I'm still recovering! Being in the bay during Super Bowl = Crazy fun!! My social calendar was more nutty then usual. I had work and play, and when you work hard you gotta play harder! :)
Let's begin shall we.... my journey began on Wednesday February 3rd where my good friend Sasha took us to the Suits and Tie party at Pier 27. I had no clue what to expect, besides it was a fashion show and I was excited. Everyone kept talking about the people that would be there, mind you I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL, well ok maybe not nothing, but I don't know who is who that is for sure. When we arrived we passed right by Tommy Lee and headed in, this would be the only person I would recognize for a while (embarrassing I know). We walk in to a beautiful space with a gorgeous view of the bay, a silent auction with tons of memorabilia, and of course free food and alcohol (whoop, whoop).
From there I moved to a circle of gentleman one which worked for the Oakland Radiers, two reporters one which as Tom Pelissero who writes for USA Today, and the other was Ben Dogra.
They were all friendly and welcoming, in that 10 minute period we were all good friends. Ben and his friend guessed my age, which they way under guessed and I was thankful for that. We exchanged high fives and this lead me to my question for all the guys, what has been your favorite year in your life? We went around the circle giving everyone a chance to answer. They all had great stories to share, but at the end of it, it was time for me to reunite with my crew. I found them at a bar, of course, reloading on drinks. The fashion show was about to begin, so we all moved towards the runway, my girl Nadia, had snagged a seat next to some football player and his girlfriend. Again, there were tons of football players around, none of which I knew, but then Chuck Liddell hopped on the stage, which I was excited about because I finally recognized someone lol. Then I looked across the way and saw Tommy Lee sitting with his girlfriend.
When the fashion show ended Tommy hopped on the decks and closed it out for the night. It was epic, something I never thought I'd see in my life, Tommy Lee Djing! He was having a great time and I was all for it. Was even more happy when he dropped Bieber lol. I wish I had the video for you, but when I updated my phone the videos were lost :(. Anyways, my last sighting of the evening was Jerome Bettis, don't worry I knew who he was when I saw him! EPIC/ LEGAND!!!
Thursday, I got my hair touched up by my girl Stephanie Argiros, she works at Joseph Cozza Salon on Market in SF, if you ever need your color done, she's the best! I was heading the Play Boy Relaunch on Friday my ladies. Had to be looking all fresh for that ish...
Friday, it was time to go to the Play Boy Relaunch party with Alesso. All of us girls got in though an app that actually paid us to go called Surkus... look it up, totally worth it. Although downside when we arrived it was so unorganized it took us about 45 minutes to get in the door, but we grabbed this awesome photo while we waited :).
Once we got in, we got our much needed 2 drinks and a shot and walked around. To be completley honest and I don't want to sound like a dick, but it wasn't that special and if I had paid $1,000 for a ticket I would have not been happy. None the less, I got paid $20 to be there, so I had a great time. We "snuck" into VIP by turning our wristbands inside out and started to mingle. We saw 50 cent...
Nick Lachey, Cuba Gooding Jr., one of the Bachelors, and a few other people I didn't know, but my girlfriends did. Like I said it wasn't anything super special, but still fun. Again, I met some amazing people another football player who I didn't know. He kept asking me if I was sure I didn't know who he was, and I assured him I had no clue, I still don't know, but I do know he was really nice and we had a great conversation about life. I met a boxer named Greg, who I couldn't find anything on, so no pic, and then Zach Gano the Manager of Corporate Partnerships for the Chargers. He was super nice and we chatted about the event he was going to the following night, and how he needed to be excited for me. He was going to see my favorite DJ/Producer in the whole world, Avicii! Still envious lol. Alesso, did a normal Alesso set, but I was stoked he dropped my Pressure which I am obsessed with, it takes me back to Coachella haha! The night ended and I headed home to head into Saturday's festivities.
Saturday, Rastko woke me up bright and early 9:30am, mind you I went to sleep at 3:30am. We were headed to our best friends birthday brunch! The only thing that saved me that day was food and mimosas. Happy Birthday Yas!
From there it was onto Mayes where are friend bar tends and they were having a Broncos Super Bowl party with more free food and booze. I stopped drinking at this point and assumed the DD role. I drove the boys around and let them have fun.
Last stop for the night was Metallica, the Night Before Tour. I am not a Metallica fan at all, but I will tell you that show was one of the best shows that I have seen, EVER. The screens had to be at least ten stories high, they were LED, and there were lazers ( I freaking love lazers!!!) They gave their heart and soul and just flat out murdered it! I was blown away and left with a greater appreciation for them and metal.
Sunday, I went to training for work from 8am-12pm, killed it of course! Headed home and it was time to head to our friends house for the super bowl party! All of the homies were there and we had a great time. The Broncos won, which I had no doubt they would, and the half time show was awesome! Good food, beer, puppies, and an epic view! The perfect way to end the weekend!
It was one epic ride, I hope your weekend was just as fun!
Thanks Super Bowl 50 for the amazing memories!!!
Now I'm off to go make more!
Love you, Mean it!
xoxo
Ashley
